Do it Yourself

We encourage self installation of many products available for your classic ride. Some installations - such as convertible tops, vinyl tops, headliners, seat covers, and custom interiors, are better left to professional installers and fabricators.

I will dedicate this page to the common "OOPS" mistakes...

Do It Yourself & Unprofessional Installations

This is a classic example we encounter to often ...

Some well-meaning car owners do attempt self installation and some unprofessional upholsterers attempt installations that they are not familiar with ...

Wrong Installation

This headliner was not to be saved. The installer did not correctly stretch and size the headliner, he also incorrectly trimmed the domelight bezel.

New Headliner Installed

This is how a newly installed headliner should appear - the bows are uniform - the material is tight - no wrinkles - and  a professionaly installed new domelight.

Matching Sunvisors

Always consider new sunvisors and brackets, new hardware, and a professional installation to enhance the value of your classic ride. It is well worth it.
